How to measure for a Buckle Collar:
Measure where your dog wears their collar around their neck. Be sure to put 2 fingers under the measuring tape so the collar is not too tight. Order the collar where your dog's neck measurement is closest to the largest size in the range. Do not size up.
How to measure for a Martingale with a buckle:
Measure high and tight around the neck, just under the jaw bone, not at the base of the neck by the shoulders, you should be able to fit 2 fingers under the collar.
How to measure for a Martingale Collar with no buckle:
Measure the largest part of your dog's head. Usually this is under the chin and up around the ears. This measurement is what allows the collar to slip over your dog's head and down around their neck. Pick the size collar that their head measurement will fit in.
Do not size up on martingales, they must fit tight to be effective.
Remember the martingale will pull tighter than the smallest measurement in the range when the D-Ring is engaged with a leash.
