Meet Amber, the driving force behind Kona Dog Wear!
If you've been looking for the best, American made, exclusively designed, K9 tested dog gear, then you are in the right place. Amber has over 25 years of sewing experience, 2 decades worth of professional sewing, manufacturing, design and testing, hands on experience. She holds a degree in Fashion Merchandising & Design and was formally trained in textile and garment manufacturing.
When you buy a Kona Dog Wear product you can rest easy knowing it was professionally designed and constructed on industrial equipment. It was tested by the top K9 LEO and sport dogs for strength and durability and will stand the test of time.
Kona Dog Wear is the love child of Amber's passion for dogs and vast knowledge of the textile and sewing world. This ain't your average, home sewn fabric dog gear made on Grandma's old Singer!

Every piece of gear that leaves the KDW studio is handmade, inspected and packaged with the utmost care.
We use only the finest materials that have proven to stand up to the everyday demands of an active sport dog and will turn heads wherever your pup may go.
All collars and leashes are made with water, mold, mildew & UV resistant polyester webbing, printed in the US with our exclusive hand drawn designs. Hardware is custom made just for us and is rust proof for salt water adventures.
But the best part, machine washable! After a long adventurous day, don't worry about scrubbing your dog's muddy collar, just toss it in the washing machine with your dirty towels or stinky gym socks and you're good to go.
Kona
The Babe that started it all! Kona is a parvo-virus survivor living with kidney disease. She is the most spoiled dog and lives a Boujee life. This company was started as a means to keep up with her constantly outgrowing cheap collars from the store. Now it is her life line and funds all of her care. Kona is a working line K9 and has been trained in Scent Detection just like her father a former government agent K9. Kona is a 5 year old Chocolate Lab born in Montana.
Kaia
The most perfect doggo! Kaia comes from sport dog lines and was the best friend that Kona needed during her puppy years. Kaia is a most excellent dock diver, hunter and companion. She lives in the water and has never meet a bird she didn't want to eat. Kaia is a 5 year old Yellow Lab born in Arizona.
Hilo
Hilo, the only boy in the pack. A gorgeous Brindle boy that I had high hopes of training to do some fun sports or activities. Turns out he rather just stay at home and be my shadow. Hilo does excel at being an excellent guard dog and loves protecting not only his human sisters but his canine ones as well. Hilo is a 2 year old mixed breed, Australian Cattle Dog, American Pitbull and German Shepherd dog, rescued from the Arizona desert.
Kiko
Kiko, the smallest baby girl in our pack. She's a spunky little pup with a side-eye attitude that could shoot laser beams. Kiko is the littermate of Hilo but with a completely different personality. She loves to go on outings and has recently started agility classes. Kiko loves her stuffies and chasing birds. Kiko is a 2 year old mixed breed, Australian Cattle Dog, American Pitbull and German Shepherd dog, rescued from the Arizona desert.
