Martingales, a dog owner's best friend, they are designed to get tighter as a dog pulls. This serves different functions, one, it is great for dogs with small heads like Grey Hounds and huskies, preventing them from slipping out. Another use is for safety in triggering situations for reactive, timid or aggressive dogs. Martingales (when fit properly) will prevent your dog from escaping or backing out in a high drive situation due to the cinching function. As for dogs that pull, martingales don't prevent pulling but they are an excellent training tool to for teaching leash manners. Martingales are the number 1 recommended collar style by top trainers.
All Collars are sewn on industrial equipment using marine grade thread in Gilbert, Arizona, USA.

How to measure for a Martingale or Slip Collar with a buckle:
Measure high and tight around the neck, just under the jaw bone, not at the base of the neck by the shoulders, you should be able to fit 2 fingers under the collar.
How to measure for a Martingale Collar or Slip Collar with no buckle:
Measure the largest part of your dog's head. Usually this is under the chin and up around the ears. This measurement is what allows the collar to slip over your dog's head and down around their neck. Pick the size collar that their head measurement will fit in.
Do not size up for martingales or slip collars, they must fit tight to be effective.
Remember the collar will pull tighter than the smallest measurement in the range when there is tension put on the collar or attached leash.

Great quality. Bright vibrant colors. Fits well and the clasp is heavy and feels sturdy. I am thankful I don’t have to keep sliding my martingales over my dogs head anymore. I can custom fit this to his neck.

This is a well made collar! I love the ease of the clip. The material is soft, yet highly durable and the pattern is cute to boot. You can definitely tell by the feel and weight that it’s a quality product. My last martingale collar held up for 7 years, and there’s no doubt this one will last as long, if not longer. Also, my dog has so complaints. ;)
